Welp thanks period

  1. Thought I'd lost my period again. Breezed through the last few months without one.

Weight is down a little more, still been working out hard.

What do ya know, a period!

    I. Feel. Icky.
  2. By the way I don't want this to come off as "if you have a period you're not skinny" or anything of the sort. It's just a big trigger for me because I tend to lose it when I'm thinner so having it come back pushed me over the edge.
    vem and Kittie like this.
  3. From my understanding it's more to do with nutrients than just weight, if that helps any.

I'm sorry about the icky feelings. I hope you're feeling better soon.

  4. If it helps, you've probably only got about 4-6 days of "ickiness" until you're free for another 28 or so days. And to be honest, this is the perfect time to splurge with your calories because you can justify your inner ED voice with it by the "fuck it, I'm on my period and I deserve it" thought process. I think you supposedly burn a few more calories on your period as well but don't take that to heart because I haven't properly researched it.

  5. Totally, in my experience.
  6. Yesss I can relate. I occasionally get one, usually if I've been eating more and gained a little weight or have just not been runing much. Last fall I broke my foot so couldn't run for several weeks, and after a few weeks the period was back.

I can relate to hte feeling, it's like my "guage".

Like the others say though, probably more nutrient related than anything else!!
  7. Also if it helps, I've known people that have been at a really really low weight but still kept regular periods, so it's really not necessarily related to weight! Like I had a friend who's BMI was 14 for a long time and never lost it. I try to keep that in my mind when I have these thoughts! Sorry your'e feeling down!
